CBMC Equips Men to Witness in the Marketplace.
RBA Equips Reformed Men to Exercise Dominion Over It.
CBMC — the Christian Businessmen's Connection — has been in operation since 1930. Nearly a century of equipping Christian men in business to share their faith, disciple others, and live with integrity in the workplace. That legacy is real and deserves respect.
But CBMC's model is built around a specific mission: evangelism and discipleship within the marketplace. Reformed Business Alliance asks a different and deeper question: what does God's sovereign rule over all of creation demand of you as a covenant builder?

Witnessing Versus Dominion
CBMC's Model Is Evangelism.
RBA's Model Is Christendom.
"CBMC asks how you witness in the marketplace. Reformed Business Alliance asks how you build covenantally in it."
CBMC's core framework is "Business as Mission" — using your position in the marketplace as an opportunity to share the gospel and disciple men toward Christ. Thousands of men have been reached through CBMC's small group model, and countless workplaces have been influenced by men committed to living out their faith with integrity.
But there is a ceiling on the "witness in the workplace" model. The Reformed tradition goes further: the Dominion Mandate calls God's people not merely to witness within fallen structures, but to actively disciple the nations, transform culture, and exercise covenant dominion over every sphere of life — including commerce.

The Reformed Reading of Business in Scripture Goes Deeper
CBMC ranks well for searches like "business bible verses" and "bible quotes on business." Their content on these terms is devotional — encouraging verses to help Christian men conduct themselves with integrity, treat employees fairly, and trust God with outcomes.
That content is valuable. But the Reformed tradition reads those same scriptures through a different lens. Proverbs 31. Ecclesiastes. The Parable of the Talents. Genesis 1–2. Matthew 28. These aren't just encouragements to run an ethical business. They're a comprehensive account of what work is, who owns the earth, what stewardship demands, and how covenant faithfulness in commerce builds the New Christendom that God is bringing to fullness.
Reformed Business Alliance is built for that reading. Our Coalitions are structured around the conviction that the business is the ministry, and every decision — every hire, every covenant, every partnership — is an act of obedience or disobedience to the God who owns the earth.

Got Questions?
Questions from CBMC Members Considering RBA
Yes. CBMC's prayer breakfasts, small groups, and discipleship content serve a real purpose for many men. RBA isn't a replacement for those activities — it's a community for Reformed business owners who want the additional foundation of a confessionally-rooted, Dominion-Mandate-driven network. Many men find they participate in both.
No. Unlike CBMC's historically male-focused structure, Reformed Business Alliance welcomes all Reformed, confessional Christian business owners — men and women alike. Our Coalitions are organized around shared doctrine, industry, and region, not gender.
CBMC's longevity is a genuine achievement. RBA launched in 2024 and is growing intentionally, not rapidly. We are building a covenant community, not scaling an institution. For the Reformed businessman who has been in CBMC for years and feels a ceiling on what it offers theologically, RBA was built for exactly that moment.
It means your business is not a platform for ministry alongside your other activities — it is your ministry assignment under God's sovereign commission. Every decision you make as an owner or executive is either a step toward or away from faithful covenantal stewardship. RBA's Coalitions and community are structured to help you think, build, and partner with others who share that conviction.
RBA's Coalitions serve a similar connective function but are theologically denser in design. We are not a discipleship ministry in CBMC's sense — we're a covenant community and business network. For devotional content and personal discipleship, CBMC remains a useful resource. For Reformed business community, partnerships, and kingdom-building collaboration, RBA is where you belong.
CBMC Asks How You Witness in the Marketplace. RBA Asks How You Build for the New Christendom.
If CBMC has been your community and it has served you well, we're glad. They have done real work for nearly a century.
But if you're a Reformed man or woman in business — one who believes the Dominion Mandate is not just a concept but a daily commission, who wants to build alongside others who hold the same confessional convictions, and who is looking for a community that asks how it can serve you instead of what you can contribute — you've found your alliance.
The marketplace belongs to Christ. Reforming it isn't witness work — it's dominion work. We're here to build, not just evangelize.
